The second in a series of Greek Goddesses in NYC. Eos ( Goddess of the Dawn) on her way to work. The light of the train behind her symbolizing the dawn. She is at the 59th street subway station as women were once paid 59 cents to the dollar.
Demeter in Central Park

Selene Takes the Brooklyn Bridge
Selene (Goddess of the moon) is represented in a nocturne with the light of the moon behind her. In the ancient mythological story, Selene rode her chariot across the night sky, the model for the painting rides a motorcycle and I thoroughly enjoyed pushing the boundaries of that ancient story.
